Envisioning Your Appraiser Future

Most of my coaching clients come to me with a less than refined idea of what they want for their future. Essentially they tell me they want to make more money, have more time, or make more money and have more time. However, they are unclear what having more money and/or more time would specifically look like for them in their business and personal lives.

I want to introduce you to an exercise that I do with most of my new coaching clients. It is something that I would suggest you try if there is anything you want to improve in your business or even your personal life. I want you to envision a perfect work day two years from now, and I want you to write down the specifics of what that day looks like for you.

Now, this can be done in long hand, but usually a bulleted list will do the trick. You do not need to get into the nitty gritty details of this day, but be specific. What time do you wake up? Did you wake up to an alarm? Did you go to the gym? Did you eat breakfast? Did you spend any time at the office? Were you doing inspections? What time are you done with work? What do your evenings look like? Write clearly about what you want for your business, health, relationships, etc.

Having a vague idea of what you want will not get you where you want to go. You need to have clear goals and start envisioning the life you want for yourself before you can begin making that goal a reality. I encourage you to take some time in the near future to sit down and figure out what you want for yourself so that you can start realizing the personal success you desire.
