We have a liquidation file where the lender has said the City declared it unsafe to enter. They recommended we ask the VA to do an exterior. We sent that ticket in. But, how do we do this? If we cannot get inside how do we make any determination of the condition. I realize we can try to look in the windows, but that will give us limited info and no info on the basement. Also, how do you make an estimated cost to cure. Any helpful information and advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated. We went there this morning because he was in the area. The house is definitely locked up with a do not enter notice. Windows I’ll have shades pulled, and you cannot see inside. He could not tell anything from the outside as to why they tagged it as unsafe. I do plan to check with the city to find out what information they can provide. As everything takes time, I would still like input from this group. Thank you so much.
- I have an interesting one, a custom built home that is 4200sf total with 1000sf full ADU/In-Law suite inside the home. I have 3 good comparable in the town it is located, but they are all very nice pool houses(full kitchen, living, bath, 1 to 2 bedrooms). My subject is "true" multi generational and per HOA can not be rented. I am extending my search to 20 to 30 miles to much nicer areas, but still striking out. My next search is 24 to 36 months. Just looking for opinion on this situation. Mainly opinions on in the house ADU vs detached.
