Did you know that there are some hidden tricks in your appraisal software that could save you time and make your work more efficient? In this post, I want to share three valuable tips that you might not be aware of.

  1. Percentage Adjustments Made Easy:

Let's start with a quick adjustment tip. When you're in the grid and need to make a percentage adjustment, instead of reaching for your calculator, try this shortcut. If, for instance, you want to adjust by 12%, simply go to the adjustment field, enter "12%", and hit enter. The software will do the math for you. It's a small trick, but it can save you time and streamline your workflow.

  1. F2 Button for Consistent Adjustments:

If you're making the same adjustment to multiple comps, use the F2 button. In the side-by-side view, enter the adjustment for one comp, then click on the F2 button. This will apply the same adjustment to all the comps to the right. It's a handy feature that ensures consistency in your adjustments and prevents manual errors.

  1. Year Built to Age Conversion:

Converting the year built to age is a common task, and there's a quicker way to do it. Instead of manually calculating the age, enter the year built in the field and hit enter. The software should automatically display the age. Just be cautious about the date context, especially if you're working on data from the previous year.

These are just a few examples of the many hidden features in your appraisal software. Exploring these shortcuts and incorporating them into your workflow can significantly boost your efficiency. If you're hungry for more tips and tricks, consider checking out the All-Star team newsletter or your software's training resources.

Mastering these little-known features can make a big difference in how you approach your appraisals. Efficiency matters, and these tricks are designed to help you save time and energy. Happy appraising!
